We recommend that people visit services and meet the therapy team to see for themselves what is provided. Don’t be afraid to ask questions so you can find out if it is the right place for the person who needs to be admitted.

You can expect a warm and friendly welcome when you come to any Oakleaf service. Our team really want to get to know you so they can help you with your rehab.

Everyone is different and it is important for us to understand what your life was like before your brain injury and what your personal goals are for the future. We like to include things in your programme that interest and motivate you as you are more likely to make progress if you enjoy what you are doing. When you get here we will help you complete a booklet called ‘All About Me’ which gives you the opportunity to tell us what you like and don’t like.

We believe in working in partnership with the family and supporters of residents. Our dedicated family liaison team visit families at home to discuss issues, provide information and support and plan discharges where appropriate.

Your team will discuss your rehabilitation programme with you as you make progress to make sure the goals you have set are still relevant and stretching for you.

The Welcome Pack below will give you information about most things e.g. visiting, meals etc. but if there is anything that is not covered please do let us know.
