The Oakleaf Group offer a range of specialist services designed to meet the needs of adult men with complex neurological conditions and brain injury. The services are supported by our highly skilled and experienced interdisciplinary staff team providing a flexible and seamless rehabilitation pathway.

The large multi-disciplinary team consists of a wide range of healthcare specialists and effective interdisciplinary working is paramount to the development and success of the individual programmes of care. All services benefit from on-site 24 hour specialist nursing (RMN, RNLD, RGN) which enables the service to accommodate more complex nursing needs including Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) feed, tracheostomy, palliative and end of life care. Other on-site specialisms include Neuropsychiatry, Neuropsychology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Rehabilitation Assistants, Family Liaison Team, Horticultural Therapy and access to a dedicated GP service for all residents.

Mosley House

A 9 bedded unit which focuses on providing active rehabilitation. Residents will have in place their unique care programme focusing on short and long term goals. Sessions are meaningful, reflect individual rehabilitation needs and incorporate each person’s unique interests. Our large interdisciplinary team is based on site and supports a ‘sessional day’ in the dedicated therapy rooms as well as in the community. Mosley House can accommodate wheelchair users (5) and more ambulant residents are able to use the first floor accommodation (4). All bedrooms are en-suite and communal facilities include quite room with TV facilities, access to dedicated session rooms, gym and extensive gardens.

Cunningham House

A 14 bedded unit which also focuses on providing active rehabilitation, providing individual care programmes that are designed for the individual to support their short and long term goals. The building is single-story and able to accommodate wheelchair users – 3 bedrooms are fitted with ceiling track hoists. All bedrooms have wet room en-suites and communal facilities include a large lounge and dining room, pool room, gym and access to extensive gardens. Cunningham House also provides 4 flats for residents who are ready to begin living a little more independently whilst continuing to receive supervision and guidance by the nursing and therapy team.

Mosley Lodge

A 4 bedded specialist environment able to accommodate adult men requiring a higher level of behaviour intervention and management, incorporating strategies and modification programmes to ensure safety of self and others. The aim is for residents to be able to enter other locations within the service allowing greater access to a wider range of therapies. All bedrooms are en-suite and communal facilities include a large lounge/dining area, access to other on-site facilities and extensive gardens.

Orchard House


Orchard House is the newest facility on the main site which is also designed to provide active rehabilitation for adult men who have a brain injury or a complex neurological condition. The facilities include 22 beds, 9 of which are fitted with ceiling track hoists. The single-storey service can accommodate residents in wheelchairs and all bedrooms have en-suite wet rooms. Communal facilities include 2 large lounges and dining rooms, sports hall Snoezelen (multi-sensory room), dedicated session rooms and access to extensive gardens.

Hunsbury House

A 5 bedded property set in a residential area allowing easy access to local transport, education and vocational opportunities. Residents are able to enjoy a greater level of independence whilst continuing with their rehabilitation programme in a safe and supported environment. Residents are encouraged to ‘test’ out their improved skills and abilities whilst remaining safe. Residents will still require a level of support from specific therapies which are accessed both on-site in the community and if required those located at the main site in Hartwell.

Trained staff are available 24 hours a day to provide support and guidance in line with each person’s assessed needs. Residents enjoy frequent access to a wide range of activities in their local community and make key life choices whilst still benefitting from the support and supervision of the experienced, multidisciplinary staff team. These homes provide an environment where quality of life can be balanced with needs for supervision and support.

The Cotswolds

The Cotswolds service is set in tranquil grounds in the heart of the main village of Duston. With 24 hour specialised qualified nursing the service is able to accommodate residents who are requiring a specialist environment to manage more complex health and nursing needs such as PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy) feed and tracheostomy care. Typically residents at The Cotswolds will have undergone a period of active rehabilitation and have reached a point where focus is more about managing the progress they have made and ensuring that their quality of life is as full and meaningful as can be. Programmes of care remain individualised and unique to their interests and also continue to have access to the wider therapy team based at the main site in Hartwell. The Cotswolds are also extremely proud to have recently been awarded the ‘Gold Standard’ in the delivery of End of Life and Palliative Care to its residents and their families by the Gold Standards Framework.
